They’ve moved me from a small, quiet office into the dreaded open-plan section of the coworking centre. Lucky for me, I am also testing new noise-cancelling headphones that let you target the noises you really want to cancel. Such as Steve the sales guy and Jennifer the life coach.

While testing, the general din of the open-plan area leaves me feeling testy – and in the mood for a pointless argument about abbreviations not necessarily being acronyms. Taking the initials of You Got That Right (YGTR) can only give you an abbreviation. On the other hand, Atrocious Racist Slop Encoded by Horrendous Artificial Intelligence Rubbish makes for a great acronym.

Paint it on a placard and march down your high street. That’s teach ’em some grammar.
