AI programming, is going quite well, currently working for an established electronic engineering company (who make things) doing important new work and maintenance.
Not saying any more as it would ID both him and me.
Y2K? Don't make me laugh, we solved that back in 1971. Valuation of a 30 year long bond anyone?
Although it frightens the shit out of me that a leap year should have become a cause for concern, we've had proven date calculation algorithms and libraries for as long as I've been in the industry so wtf are the children playing at?
Re; Undelivered flying cars -- Moller has a patent on that :-)
BTW, I call my basement office "The Fortress of Solitude" as it's fairly well acoustically insulated from the rest of the house (not by design, but I'm not complaining). Finished it off on company time (Shhh!) during the start of COVID WFH...it's quite comfy, really, and plenty of room. Door, carpeting, suspended ceiling, LED lighting, all the mod cons.
I think you were wise to take precautions on February 29. It will take an Amendment to the Constitution to correct things so that years, days, hours and seconds have sensible intervals, easily understood by all. I gather left-pondians have trouble with a 24-hour clock.
Alignment of the planet against the stars will never catch on as reference point except with astrologers. With all the modern technology available at our fingertips or even on wrists, you would think that time of day could be based on the angle of the stars and your position on the planet. And when you agree to meet another real person, angle and GPS are all that are needed to perhaps align your stars!
Well if AI can make any sense of ST Micro's documentation, good luck to it, it can have my job. Oh, wait a minute, I work in Britain so I'm probably cheaper anyway.
Coffee and rabbit droppings, any difference?

NVidia drivers have been buggy for at least twenty years - sounds like AI couldn't do any worse.

Now can I drink my coffee without spilling it......

Ring....
Anyone else aware of the 'other' meanings of this throwaway word?
As far as I am concerned, you can put your 'Tech-Glam' ™ rings where the sun don't shine.
Dune II in VOST for 2h50mins? Pass.
Fingerbobs-2023? Now that may be a reboot worth seeing?

Sure I'd trust a car / aeroplane tycoon who deliberately sets out every morning to look like Alan Rickman's sneering villain in Die Hard.

You could just sell it as Kopi luwak.
Those of us who aren't in that state of bliss, but with long term GFs who occasionally mention the M word, retreat to the cellar every 4 years!!!
And yes, it's much better for your back to carry empty bottles up from the cellar.
